Free Essay: Teamwork Training
Gaps and Needs
Every activity that is carried out according to plan is outlined in the schedule of the project. In the event that an activity is to be executed, the attention of all the parties has to be called and each step followed measurably as described within the ADDIE model design. Based on the analysis of the article about ‘Creating an interactive PDF from Training program,’ there is a gap in the understandings of the workers on computer operations and the use of various applications for making important communications within the company.
Therefore, the need for developing a strategic team training plan with the aim of equipping the workers with various techniques that will enable them to communicate with each other across different departments. Communication is essentially one of the ways through which workers can ensure coordination of activities within the organization.
The planned team training would be done according to the steps outlined in the ADDIE model design and the expectation would be that at the end of the training sessions, the literacy levels of workers on computer will be transformed, thereby resulting into enhanced performance. The need for the training of the team will be focused on specific areas, like workers proficiency in the creation of questionnaire or survey in Microsoft Word, ability to describe the software required in the creation of an interactive file as well as determining the software program used to develop a PDF in Adobe Acrobat professional.
Hence, it is important to come up with various processes that would ensure that there is a complete rotation of an idea with the objective of enhancing complete team transformation from individualism to teamwork. Proper design will help in the determination of the performance gap and adjustments made as per the interest of the organization. Through the training on teamwork, the key areas of operation and the sequence of performance execution will be clearly portrayed within the company.
Audience
With regards to performance and enhanced productivity, the audience in question refers to the workers willing to integrate and enhance teamwork for improved productivity. Therefore, employees must be computer literate since the whole training process will entail extensive use of computers and computer applications. With enhanced technology, the use of MS Word in opening, naming, and saving Word document in PDF file is becoming popular among various organizations.
The steps that are conducted in the execution of PDF file creation, storage, and transmission through the internet require that one has a better understanding of operating different computer applications. The information collected about the relationship between different works as outlined within the ADDIE diagram in the analysis and design stage would help in determining a unique solution for performance. In analysis, team building and training are highly popular where individuals are willing to work as a team even though certain forces are acting in a way that prevents employees from carrying out their roles objectively.
There are several steps that would be involved in team training such that every individual covered by the plan is considered. Time is of importance, since it determines both the start time and also the time of completion for every activity during the process of training. With the main aim of building an understanding among different workers, there is need for a time base schedule that is inclusive and completely dependent on the particular areas of interests. The aim of ADDIE Model Design is the integration of workers and enabling high performances within various areas of operation.
As outlined in the training program, every activity during the training is aimed at creating a positive correlation among different workers with the aim of ensuring enhanced performance. It is generally known that there may be a rift between workers within the organization as a result of several unexplained reasons. Such gaps would only be narrowed if the workers are involved in common areas of operation. It becomes clear from the training program presented that when workers are able to regularly interact through emails or other network related means of communication, the management creates better working relationships within the company.
Goals and Objectives
The various objectives for team training as outlined in the training program come in different levels that can be completed in a span of two days. The objectives to be accomplished on day one would entail the development of questionnaire or survey in Microsoft Word, description of software required for creating an interactive Portable Document Format file, and determination of software program that would be applied in the creation of a PDF form in Acrobat Professional.
The main objective of the first training session would be about reviewing the different software programs to help in establishing the ideal design platform when creating a questionnaire or survey for an interactive PDF form for professional application. On the second day, the aims would be explaining the various methods used in emailing a PDF attachment besides the ability to write instructions for recipients to abide by.
The key objective of the second session of training is about the ability to review minor technical errors in the use of Adobe Professional and Emails errors that will impact problem solving techniques in the place of work. Companies have uncertainties that would necessitate propriety in fertile opportunities. The workers who are trained on the use of the internet as a means of communication are a show of concern among managers in appreciating some of the technological means of production.
Assessment and Evaluation Strategies
Assessment would be based on how well those who take part in the training will be able to send all the enrolled learners and instructor a five question PDF form attached as an email. Besides, the assessment would also help in gauging the level of accuracy shown since the participants will get the chance of answering all the questions for every survey and make submissions proportionately via email. In one way, one would be able to understand the nature of the operations of the organization system one he or she is able to carry out every task professionally and make varied submissions through emails.
Training would not have been accomplished if the employees were not able to abide by all the given instructions on their own in answering the given questions. With regards to the assessment calls, one would expect that instructors follow a similar trend in showing that indeed; knowledge is passed to the targeted group. Thus, the expectation would be that the instructor would ask for comments from the participants while also posing questions, concerns, answers on the flip chart in order to enable the participants to look at the posted and make the necessary adjustments.
The review should take an estimated thirty minutes. Another half an hour will be spent by the participants in the creation of another form and emailing the attachments to the instructor. There is need for revisiting all the steps so that participants get a glimpse of whatever information was not well understood.
All the steps that are outlined above will consider the interest of the ADDIE model design as shown in the figure below
performance | implementation |
analysis | evaluation |
Implementation
At this stage of team training, there are expectations that the team will deliver in its performances after undergoing the training. For example, if the team was made up of workers, the expectation would be an increase in production.
Evaluation
Work analysis and enhanced team performance are the key reasons why an organization would conduct team training. The next stage of the ADDIE model would provide a measure of how well the training has ensured improved performance, and also provided a solution for the conflicting interests of workers. The search would entail investigations on the relationship between team training and enhanced performance, that is, the key objective of team training.
Analysis
This stage in team training ignites the interest of knowing the way in which things exist among various workers or teammates and making proper adjustments and curative measures that can enable things to be done in the most appropriate way. At this stage, the instructor has to establish whether the objectives of team training are achieved. If things remain the way they were initially, the other strategies will be applied until the workers are able to find the reasons behind teamwork within the organization.
Performance
The final stage would entail the determination of performance level after the training process. The high performance realized would enable the company to determine the viability of team training. In comparison, one would be able to note that with team building through training, the processes of production will be easier and more efficient unlike when every worker was to work individually.
