Abnormalities of Sensorimotor Integration in Focal Dystonia
The critical review should be structured as follows:
- Summary of the main objective(s), hypothesis or hypotheses, finding(s) and conclusion(s) (maximum ¾ page double spaced)
- Detail the main strengths/weaknesses of the study. This is not a simple listing. For strengths, students should explain how the results/conclusions were strengthened by the authors approach. For weaknesses, students should explain how the results/conclusions might be compromised by the weakness and/or how the results/conclusions might change had the weakness been addressed. Quality is more important than quantity. Students should focus on 2-3 key strengths and 2-3 key weaknesses rather than attempt to discuss all possible strengths/weaknesses. (Maximum 2 pages double spaced).
- A firm conclusion on whether you believe the current study has merit and how you feel it contributes to the field based on the context of the introduction/discussion (maximum ½ page)
The critical review will be restricted to a maximum of 3 pages double-spaced (font: Times New Roman, no-smaller than 11-point, 0.75-inch margins).
