This paper conducts the Assessing Technological Needs for Homeland Security Applications (HLS). HLS has the primary objective of ensuring that all the American homelands are safe, as well as ascertaining resilience against terrorist activities and other possible or targeted hazards. Through this, the general lives of Americans will get improved by embracing security as one of the fundamental needs of the human society. This paper on homeland security has considered the current level of technological use within the area of homeland security. I have looked at how embracing technology in this sector will change the way practitioners do their job on a daily basis and their implications for the future of homeland security.
I have considered little technological security surveillance as the dependent variable and the usage of Systematic Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) to be the independent variable. Therefore, feedback on the effectiveness realized from the application of SAVER Programme among security companies, providing the guidelines for my hypothesis. The null hypothesis insists that there is no statistical significance in the form of SAVER Programme in embracing homeland security objectives. I have also looked at the change that can be realized as a result of improving alternatives to using a particular technology that is the improved SAVER Program. I have come up with a conclusion that the usage of advanced SAVER Programme will improve the services provided homeland security companies.
All the aspects of life that one may think about have been effected by the use of advanced technology in improving their overall efficiency during the performance. Looking into Homeland Security (HLS), technological advancements can provide all the needs that arise during its usage and applications (Gaines & Kappeler, 2012). In HLS, there is a lot of effort that has been set forward with the purpose of realizing safe and secure homeland and resilient against terrorist attacks among other attacks. In this paper on Homeland Security, I am going to look at how the improvement and advancement in the HLS Applications can bring changes as well as positively affect the future of homeland security.
The Technological needs for HLS Applications can be met adequately by application of Systematic Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER). The SAVER has an established program assessment process that provides the emergency responders with assistance in coming up with the right procurement decisions. This particular programme undertakes objective assessments as well as validation of commercial machinery and systems. Through this, it provides some security results among other useful equipment information to the homeland emergency response community in a relevant operational form.
This particular technology has the capability of changing the way practitioners have been doing their security surveillance jobs on a daily basis. In the homeland security, the improved SAVER Program will focus primarily on two main aspects of the well-being, emergency and surveillance provided by homeland security. It will consider such issue as the availability of monitoring equipment and the effectiveness and rate of their performances.
The improved SAVER Program will make a quantitative comparison of the commercial equipment and maintain a focus on upcoming human factors of machinery. Finally, it will undertake collection and publication of relevant criteria to agents of homeland security on issues pertaining procurement and decisions on operating commercial activities.
The use of technology in homeland security has improved homeland security services from the manual security services provided by Surveillance Company, as before (Gaines & Kappeler, 2012). Through technological advancement and usage in this sector, alerts to domestic security concerns will improve, making them more resilient against terrorism attacks among other hazards. This can be heightened by application of the SAVER Program, which provides some security results, among other useful equipment information to the homeland emergency response community in a relevant operational form.
