Autocratic

Autocratic or authoritarian kind of leadership is where the leader makes decisions independently without involving other stakeholders (Belias and Athanasios 28). Normally, there is always a clear distinction between the leader and other employees and is applicable to a context in which the leader is highly knowledgeable compared to other followers.  Autocratic leaders inform their juniors what to do and are the center of every operation that takes place within the business with all the powers beginning and concluding with them.

Participative

This form of leadership technique is considered the most comprehensive in various businesses due to its inclusive approach to decision making. The participative or democratic leadership provides a framework for the employees’ roles by allowing the staffs to offer input to the organizational management (Belias and Athanasios 28). Moreover, democratic leaders encourage their juniors to be involved in the decision making. However, the final verdict relies on the leader. Participative leadership promotes creativity and success of the company since staffs are allowed to contribute to various ideas within the firm. 

Laissez-faire

Laissez-faire or delegative leadership is a kind of leadership considered to be less effective because the final decision is bestowed on the members. This form of leadership enables the group to create significant demands on their leaders, promote minimal cooperation among the staffs thereby, leading to poor job operations (Belias and Athanasios 28). Laissez-faire leaders provide little or no organizational framework for their staffs which facilitate poorly stipulated obligations with no motivations. Furthermore, delegative leadership leads to low accountability since the majority of the leaders using this model usually blame other staffs for their failures.   

Chosen Leadership Style

The kind of leadership I prefer is the participative leadership since it is more effective in various organizations compared to other leadership styles. The participative leadership usually integrates the democratic doctrines such as inclusiveness, equal participation, deliberations, and self-determination (Basit, Abdul, Veronica and Hassan 114). Notably, democratic leaders allocate roles among the group members to promote an inclusive decision-making process. The approach allows for the exchange of ideas and information pertaining to effective management among the stakeholders thereby, promoting creativity and business success.

The participative leadership offers an opportunity for the staffs to develop individual goals and identifies various ways of achieving the set objectives (Nanjundeswaraswamy and Swamy 58). The leaders offer organizational guidance to the employees by supporting the workers in their career advancement. The model enables the leadership to utilize the company’s personal skills and strengths in solving different challenges.  For instance, my personal behavior of allowing colleagues to present their opinions when handling group assignments before embarking on the final conclusion depicts the participative leadership style.

Strength and Weaknesses of the Chosen Leadership Style

In a democratic form of leadership, the final verdict of the decision-making process is bestowed on the leader despite the members’ contribution. The approach facilitates creativity and encouragement among the group members during the development of management decisions (Amanchukwu, Gloria and Nwachukwu 10). The technique promotes high job satisfaction and improved productivity because of the employees’ motivation. The models also enhance the development of skills among various staffs since there is inclusive participation in making decisions. Further, the concept offers solutions to intricate challenges because the leadership integrates individuals that have the degree to provide resolution to complex problems. However, the technique has some weaknesses such as time-consuming, especially when making urgent decisions (Nanjundeswaraswamy and Swamy 58).  The participative leadership can lead to dependency upon the age of the leader and has little optimal solutions to different opinions.

Impact of the Chosen Leadership Style to the Employees

A democratic form of leadership has a significant impact on the organizational employees such as promoting cooperation. This is observed by inclusive integration of the workers during the determination of factors that affects a given decision. The technique encourages creativity among the staffs based on the supportive managers that provide an environment for the employees to exchange ideas (Iqbal, Anwar and Haider 4).  Similarly, the approach facilitates the formation of workable objectives and creation of different channels of achieving the set. The democratic system of leadership improves workers performance due to the extensive encouragement offered based on equal participation in decision making.

Type of Leadership Best for the Current Job Situation

The best leadership style for the current job situation is the democratic leadership due to its numerous benefits compared to other forms of leadership systems. The participative leadership promotes cooperation, creativity, and creation of attainable objectives among the employees which is important in the success of the industry. Notably, the approach is based on the democratic principles like self-determination, equity, and inclusiveness in the decision making processes (Iqbal, Anwar and Haider 4). Moreover, the democratic type of leadership provides the opportunity to solve complicated problems within the firm through the incorporation of individuals with the extensive skills in solving intricate organizational problems. The incorporation of the staffs in the formulation of different decision making allows the staffs to develop certain skills which can be essential in promoting the firm’s development.

Pinapex is a type of company that will be situated in the city of Illinois. The firm will use pineapple fibers to develop different merchandises such as shoes, handbags, and belts. The business will act as an alternative to the use of animal skins in creating various products and also promotes agricultural production of pineapples. The enterprise will targets the millennial generations who represents the majority populace, hence, are likely to be attracted to the distinct Pinapex products. The integration of the pineapple leaves will offer an opportunity to establish a comprehensive commercial business for scaling the farming communities through a reduced environmental degradation. 

The business will be a limited form of partnership in which the associates have restricted involvement in the company and their losses are based on the amount of a person’s investment. Furthermore, this approach offers a diverse group of talented personnel that shares the obligation of managing the firm (Lostakova and Zuzana 565). Similarly, the ability to acquire startup finance is easy since it can be attained from the members’ contribution.

A business entity entails various functions such as production, marketing, financial, innovation, and human resource (Cicea, Corina, and Nicolae 230). The enterprise will be involved in the production of shoes, belts, and handbags to meet the rising demands. Considerably, trough the research and development team, the company will integrate the pineapple fiber to develop its products as opposed to the use of animal skin. Due to the high production of the commodities, the firm will integrate skilled human resource to enhance the productivity and sales of the merchandise. The marketing channels will be based on the use of numerous outlets to reach several consumers. Importantly, to maintain the syndicate’s financial strength, the organization will invest in shares to increase its financial portfolio.

The business will involve various factors of production such as capital, human labor, and raw materials (Alika, Iyere and Stan 58). The startup capital will be acquired from the partners’ savings, support from friends, and loans from financial institutions. The human labor will be based on skills and expertise to enhance the operation of various production machines. The raw materials will be obtained from specific farmers that are in contract with the firm to provide the required pineapple leaves.

Some of the external factors that can impact the business include technology, competition, and legal elements (Janković, Mihajlović and Cvetković 33). As such, to combat the rising level of competition posed by the rivals, the enterprise will incorporate different marketing strategies like use of social media platforms and discriminative price settings. The company will also integrate modern technological devices to promote the business brand such as the use of internet marketing. The firm will adhere to the stipulated laws to avoid penalties by the government.

The business targets the millennial generations who are considered to be fashion wise and represents the countries rising populace. The enterprise will use various social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to promote its products (Hajli 388).  Conversely, research indicates that social networks promote the exchange of materials among its users thereby, enhancing wider coverage.

Based on the company’s financial strength and skilled labor, the firm will use the available finance to open various outlets across the city and increase its production through the skilled personnel. This will certainly enhance the enterprise competitive edge compared to the competitors, thus, leading to a wider consumer base. Moreover, the business will incorporate irrigation during dry periods to combat climate change.
