The carbon control plan aims at limiting carbon emissions worldwide. Many countries have already signed the agreement. The signatories to this agreement include nations that give out up to 55% of the carbon emissions. The plan to control carbon release is elaborate and involves the manufacturing airplanes that use biofuels instead of ordinary jet fuels. Aircraft manufacturers have to make new planes with engines that use the bio-fuels. The new aircraft will be designed to be efficient in fuel consumption. The cost of purchasing these planes will be more than current costs of jet fuel planes (Fountain).

            Evidently, carrier companies will get financial support for the purchase of these aircraft from sponsors such as forest conservationists, and other groups that advocate for use of alternative energy. Air carriers are expected to slightly increase the fares to help offset the changeover expenditures. Furthermore, the air carriers can encourage and allow willing passengers to pay more than normal fares to help ease the financial burden of buying new biofuel planes. The countries parties to this agreement have also put in place a monitoring plan that will check levels of jet engine carbon emissions. This is will ensure generations of accurate reports hence determine the amount of success in eliminating carbon from the air (Fountain).

The endorsement of the agreement is a success for the environment. This is because 2% of the emissions come from gasses like carbon that absorb infrared radiation. The accord will ensure clean environment hence help control climate change. Since the pan critically considers the smooth transition from jet fuels currently used to cleaner biofuels, the aviation industry wins too. There will be no much financial burdens on the carriers and the consumers.
