This can only be achieved by introducing more strict rules for the officers. Some have been demanding for the change of the law and scrutiny to avoid such unethical officials in the sector. This however does not change the bad examples within the department. This is because attainment of the ethical standards is a discipline to be daily worked out and a desire to be the role model within the society. The reactive investigative model has been utilized in addressing the unethical cases within the department.

There is a call to alter the dynamics for the officers who willfully violate the structure. This is to modify the pre-employment assumption of the officer values.  However, statistics confirm that there is no causative aspect that develops such behavior changes. By judging the officers as other professionals, this culture of entitlement applied only in relevant situations. There is also need for the public to understand the law and rightfully apply it. This will help in alleviating the belief that the officers are above the law. By understanding and applying the law, the officers will be accountable.
